I hate the changes in the weather. Yeah! I am happy that’s its much cooler now but this has come with a price. I have caught on the flu :(. I hate flu. It’s so irritating. You feel like doing nothing… nothing tastes good and you suffer a constant head ache. In the morning when dad went out and got puris, I dint wanna eat them. And the curry with it was a total turn off. So I tried Google to find the recipe of aloo saag and alas everything included spinach. I wasn’t in mood for any spinach. And I wanted a quick recipe too. A recipe that would get done fast and would not require much labor. So I decided to cook saag with my own recipe. And now I am sharing it with you guys…

Ingredients –

2 large aloos

2 Tomatoes

2 Onions

4-5 Chilies

Ginger and Garlic chopped or ginger-garlic taste

Garam masala or chat masala

Chili powder a table spoon

Haldi (optional)

Salt according to taste
Procedure –

Half boil the potatoes. Peel them and chop them into fine cubes.

Make tomato puree.

Heat oil in a pan and then add the chopped onion, Green chilies and ginger garlic. Sauté the onions till they turn golden brown.

Then add the tomato puree. Add salt, turmeric and chili powder to it. Allow it to boil till the oil separates out.

Now add the chopped aloos and add either Garam masala or chat masala. Add water if the gravy is too thick.

Cook it till the aloos are completely done.

Dress it with freshly cut coriander leaves.

Now you can serve it with either Rotis or Puris.

And trust me it tastes good :).
