The whole world is right now bitten by the FIFA World Cup bug and I am no different. I won’t say that I am a Football fanatic but I do love the sport. It all started during the 2002 World Cup. My Grand Pa was a football fanatic and during the WC he never ever gave me the remote. So, I had no other option but to sit and watch the matches. At first I found the matches very boring but as days progressed my interest in them began. My Grand Pa very patiently explained about the game, answered my

Hyderabad

I love my city and normally I would be singing praises of my city and tell you how AWESOME it is. I would be telling you that, I think Hyderabad is one of the best cities in India. I would be saying that, we have a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. I would be talking about all great historic marvels like Charminar, Golconda Fort, Mecca Musjid, Falaknuma Palace and Salar Jung Museum etc. I would talking about it being the hub of Information Technology and also add how it is ahead of whole country when it comes to Biotechnology

IPL has kick started yesterday and so has my craze. Wait, I stand corrected. My craze hasn’t kick started but increased. I am always crazy about cricket. It’s one of those things that makes me forget everything else and just keeps me glued; I guess that’s a total Indian thing. Cricket is more than a religion in our country. That’s how incredible the knock was. In other words, yesterdays knock was Legendary.

I remember watching the match in which Anwar scored 194 in Chennai with my dad and thinking, “No

“Enjoyed the match Harini”, my friend asked me yesterday.

“It was ok”.

“Ok?? You kidding me?? It was brilliant. It was such a close finish… like you always prefer them”.

“I still dint like it”.

“Why”? He asked me with so much of confusion that I went ahead and explained him why for an hour.

I won’t deny that I did enjoy the match. I enjoyed how close Sri Lanka came to chasing down 414… I loved it when Sehwag, Dhoni, Sachin, Sangakkara and Dilshan batted. I loved watching the amount of boundaries and sixes scored. I liked the nail

GirlInWindowRainResized

I love rain… I the love smell of soil when it rains; I love the rain drops moving down my skin tickling me on their way. I love the whole feel of rains but not today. I was singing and praying –

‘Rain, rain go away,

Come again another day,

Harini wants to go out,

Rain, rain go away’.

I even tried to bribe rain God saying – “I will go and break a coconut in the temple tomorrow, if it stops raining”. As usual, me being the God’s favorite child, it rained harder. It rained until all my plans
